Stone Hut Circles, Sunday 1st June, 2008
Food to Share Picnic starting 12 noon @ 4 Mile Bridge

We are meeting at 4 Mile Bridge to go investigating a collection of hut circles situated on Holy Island. They are located on an 'island' in the inland sea at 4 mile bridge and nearby is a holy well.
The exact location of the well and the circles will not be disclosed in advance, although their whereabouts is known. There are maps of the hut circles for study, as and when appropiate, to compare actual findings with those documented on the maps.
Everyone is invited to join us - Vicky has suggested we meet about 12 noon at their house as this fits in best with the tides. The walk is less than a mile to get to the dowsing site and is never more than 10 feet above sea level. Waterproof boots or wellies are recommended for those who wish to wear sensible footwear!
We propose, as we have done in the past, a 'sandwiches to share' picnic, exact location according to the weather and inclinations on the day. Chris and Vicky have kindly offered to provide tea, coffee, and something sweet to go with it.

Saturday 26th & 27th April, 2008

Roundhouse, Llanrhyddlad

Food to Share Evening with Guest Speaker

A gentleman by the name of Lawrence Main has kindly offered to come and talk to us about the last battle of Arthur which took place in Wales. He just happens to be the founder of the Lay Line Society and is a keen dowser. West Wales Dowsers report it to be a very interesting talk so a good evening could be had by all.

We decided to make the evening one of our famous vegetarian food to share - for those who have not been before, everyone brings a little food and when it is all put together, a feast is had by all. There will be a charge of £2 per person so we can pay for Lawrence's travel expenses, and he will have a number of books on interesting subjects for sale on the night.

On Sunday, there will be visits to a number of holy wells on the island for anyone interested, with the intention to look at lay lines in the area and to dowse anything that comes to the minds of those present. This will start with a well associated with the Marion Conspiracy.

Wednesday 9th April, 2008

Roundhouse, Llanrhyddlad

Easter Egg Hunt & Ancient Burial Grounds

So Easter was early this year! We choose to hunt for our easter eggs when there is more daylight and when Easter should have been! All dowsers are challenged to find a number of eggs hidden out and about on the land. A sample egg will be available to look at and tune into as required.

After the light fades, there will be an opportunity to dowse the "Tomb of the Kings" on Cyprus. There will be a recent experience of how one can dowse ancient burial grounds on site, and afterwards using photos. Everyone will have the opportunity to dowse the site for themselves.

Rhosneigr, Anglesey

Locate a Church, Well & investigate a Standing Stone

A couple of the Anglesey Dowsers have a property from where a church has been moved. Although all the stones have all been removed, they wish to know the original footprint of the church before it was moved.
There is an enourmous stone which has been built into a cottage and we want to know if this was once a standing stone, and where it was originally located.
There is a water pipe from an unknown source and we want to trace that back, and at the same time, there is a well that is no longer visible. Lots of investigation, and tea and coffee available throughout.

Sunday 23rd September, 2007

Beaumaris, Anglesey

Practical Water Divining - One Day Intensive Course £30

This is a one day hands-on course which will be spent searching for water. We will be assisted by Clive Thompson, who has dowsed around 250 wells and drilled for 150 of them. Clive was chairman of the British Society of Dowsers (BSD) Council for 6 years in the 1980's, and is now retired and living on Anglesey.
In the morning we will go to a previously drilled site and dowse the underground features and identify the best point to drill. Reasons for choice of the actual point for the drilling will be discussed (access for rigs and compressors, etc).
Demos of how to use a wand to find the direction of the nearest place to drill and how to ascertain the amount and quantity of water using a double V rod and colours.
Lunchtime will be in a local cafe where homemade soup and rolls will be served, included in the cost of the course.
In the afternoon we propose visiting an local ancient settlement of Din Lligwy to try to find what they did for water in pre-historic times. For those who have had enough of water dowsing, this site is perfect for archeological dowsing, there is an ancient disused church 200 yards away and a burial chamber 3 minutes down the road with a 25 tonne capstone to which those interested will be taken.
If you wish to have a place on the course, please let us know so we can make the necessary arrangements, supply wands and double-V rods, etc.
Neil & Gwen will be organising the day. Both members of the BSD, Neil is on the BSD Professional Register of Dowsers.

Wednesday 12th September, 2007

We have acquired a 'TriField Natural EM Meter'! This has been loaned to us by a gentleman who is into experimental dowsing and trying to identify what it is we as dowsers are actually detecting.
We are hoping this evening to use the machine to detect Lay Lines, the human electric field and anything we usually detect with an L-rod. Anyone with any ideas how we might as it a question, so we can replace the pendulum? !!!
Meet at the roundhouse for Tea, Coffee and Cakes starting at 7:30.
Also, planning for the Water diving day on the 23rd.

To check if you are allergic to anything specific, bring along a sample.

Wednesday 12th July, 2006.

Whilst it's still light in the evenings, Ken and I thought it would be good to go to one of the local Standing Stones. There are earth energies, lay lines, alignments and water all of which are there for the dowser to detect...
Tea & coffee will be served upon our return, when we are going to see if we can find where Volvo have buried that 4 wheel drive in the container. Now that would be a turn up for the books !!!
Departure @ 7:35pm

Wednesday 9th August, 2006.

Viisit to a local standing stone again, after we were covered in cloud in July! There are earth energies, lay lines, alignments and water all of which are there for the dowser to detect...
We will depart by car at 7:35pm and will be away for an hour or so.
Tea & coffee will be served upon our return. We have acquired a large selection of pendulums made from all sorts of different materials and weights, which will be available for all to try.
Hope to see you all... departure @ 7:35pm sharp! Anyone arriving after we have left is to put the kettle on and we'll show you the pictures on our return.

Wednesday 13th September, 2006.

Ken and JJ will start the ball rolling this month. They have acquired a set of large playing cards with which they are going to challenge everyone to dowse their contents whilst placed upside down. Simply red or black, or go the whole way and identify the actual card.
In addition, there will be a range of crystals for people to identify. These also have some powerful effects on those sensitive to such energies.

Later in the evening there is the chance to see some Australians dowsing down under, always assuming our newly acquired projection equipment is as good as we hope.

Wednesday 11th October, 2006.

At the BSD annual congress this year, one of the talks demonstrated the idea of mind association with objects. The concept that there is a part of the person that is connected to items associated with that person.
This month Ken, Neil and Anne who attended the congress will attempt to demonstrate this principle. One way will be to borrow someones wedding ring, Rolex or whatever, and place them elsewhere in the room. We will show how a line between the person and the item can be found using a dowsing rod or pendulum.
Proceedings start at 7:30pm as usual and tea, coffee and baking will be served in the Round House.

Wednesday 8th November, 2006.

This week, Ken, Gwen and JJ will be running the show. They have chosen to 'wing it' to quote Gwen, although I have heard they do have some interesting dowsing experiences with earth energies and finding out where you are on a map which they may be pursuaded to relate.
Proceedings start at 7:30pm as usual and tea, coffee and home-made baking may be served in the Round House, assuming someone is in the mood to bake something on the day!

Wednesday13th December, 2006.

This is to be a vegetarian food-to-share meal in the round house to celibrate the end of our first year as the Anglesey Society of Dowsers. No planning as to what we are going to do, just lots of fun with music and dancing to your favourite CD (bring it with you!) later on in the evening.
Please feel free to bring along friends, family, distant cousins or whomsoever - we shall be inviting friends of the round house who may never have even held a dowsing rod !
